Family and Friends are Welcome!
With the changes being made this past year at USA Soccer and subsequently York United Soccer Association, focusing on player development, the timing was right for us to improve our club program.
Our new in-house program for ages 6 to 8 will focus on teaching fundamentals of the game in a fun environment to develop a love for the game. All players will learn and reinforce fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing, and shooting techniques as well as an introduction to field positions, in order to prepare them for league play at U9 and above.
Our U8 program will offer one practice per week which will be on Thursdays from 5:15 PM to 6:30 PM at St. Joe's fields and one game on Saturday mornings for the Fall 2016 season.
While a complete schedule of games for parents will be made available at the beginning of the season, U8 games will begin the weekend after Labor Day and run through October (weather permitting). Practices will begin August 25th.
We are thrilled to have Mr. Randy Byrnes, a former York Catholic High School Girls Soccer Team and nationally licensed coach accept our U8 Volunteer Coaching Director position to facilitate the program and work with our U8 club coaches. As the season gets closer he will communicate via email further details about the practices and games.
